Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid teaching certificate for the State of Michigan.

Preferred Skills:

• Skilled at designing learning environments that promote a student's ability to achieve at their highest potential.
• Experience using data to develop lesson plans and instructional groups.
• Familiarity with The Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy.
• Familiarity with Orton Gillingham Approach to Literacy.
• Effective communication with students, staff, parents, and community.  Outstanding computer skills, professional appearance and regular attendance at school sponsored events and activities.
• Keen awareness of responsibilities for confidentiality and professionalism.
• Familiarity with PBIS.
• Performing all other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.

Terms of Employment:

• Full-time salary and health care benefits provided.  Negotiable based on experience, education and certification; per CEA Contract.
